I must go and pay homage to Robert Zimmerman who will be in Motril in July and am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for hostales or pensiones in the town?

Can't help with the accommodation query I'm afraid

GO to Motril if you must (I like it anyway, although when I was there I spent a large amount of time in the massive supermarket wondering how I could release the dalmation puppies caged up ready for sale )

BUT - I would give Robert a wide berth if I were you - I'm sure you could be more entertaining yourselves on the ramparts of the castle at neighbouring Salobrena .. go on, give him a run for his money
