i would like peoples opinion here on who really is their favorite singer from spain. mines personally is camilo sesto and mecano.

He's very handsome. and I like the song. But not sure he fits into the 'best Spanish Singer' category.

I vote for Júlio Iglesias .

So, MadridMan! Did you put yourself into the last age category on Mr Iglesias' website? And have you received any further information?

He gets my vote too, but I prefer to look at Enrique

As far as quality of voice, I'd STILL vote for Júlio over Enrique anyday, but I do own a couple of Enrique's CDs -- only the Spanish ones. Now that (it seems) he on to English only songs I won't buy any more of them. The same with Ricky Martin -- I only own a couple of his Spanish CDs and will pass on the new ones with only one or two Spanish songs on them.

Okay, I'll have to disagree on Rosario Flores. While I think she has some talent she has a long way to go to have a quality voice (I'm no expert, okay?). Rosana would be UP there for me and even the now defunct (I think) Ella Baila Sola 2-female group. Presuntos Implicados always sounds very pure to me as does the voice of Ismael Serrano and Paco Bello.

Maybe if you listen to her sing Lucia on Serrat..Eres unico..then you'll change your minds. Just listen to her sing that song and you'll see what I mean!

Unfortunately her brother was the one who used to write her songs (Antonio Flores) and they were amazing! After his overdose her "letras" have never been the same. It just doesn't have the same magic. But, get the old music..please!
