The cafe will be located at Montera, 10-12 (just 10 meters away from Puerta del Sol and 5 minutes walking from Hostal Chelo )

Easyeverything Madrid will have 230 PCs featuring flat screens, high speed connection and the best of all, it will be opened 24 hours a day!!!

WOW!! Looks great, Antonio!!! And RIGHT in the Old Center of Madrid!! I visited their website, (see link above) but didn't see anything about FTP-ability. When they open, maybe you could walk over there on your way back from classes and check it out. I'll be sure to use their services while I'm there in October . Thanks for the tip!

Today there was an orange bus around the city centre advertising easyEverything. In the evening, beautiful girls dressed in orange and black suits were given flyers and Café Marcilla (they brand they will sell at easyeverything) for free.

I love Stelios Haji-Ioannou and all his cheap internet based companies ( easyJet , easyEverything , easyRentacar and he is preparing a few more companies.

I went today to the easyEverything opening. I met Stelios and I think he is a very nice person. He was welcoming all the new customers to his new internet shop in Madrid.

BTW, I said before it was 3 hours of fast access for only 200 pesetas. Well, at nights (after midnight) it's even cheaper. 5 hours for only 200 pesetas!!!.

PS: I asked Stelios if they planned new routes from Spain to Ireland (in case I decide to go to work there). He told me it could be in the future. They plan to add more routes at easyJet .

EasyEverything is the real deal! It is unbelievable that I can rent a computer for 200 pesetas ( about $1.00 US) for three hours during the day and for five hours during the evening. The equipment is first rate and the staff is helpfull. It is located on Calle Montera not far from Hostal Chelo and close to the Gran Via. BTW it is nice to have a keyboard with Spanish characters (ñ,¿,¡).

I see that Shawn is another happy easyEverything.com . Severals Hostal Chelo customers have already tried it and they all agree it's the best internet cafe in Madrid. Two of them went there this evening and it was full!!. There were a lot of people standing on a line waiting for their turn.

This Place Is GREAT!!!!! I´m here every 2 days or so and they have 100 terminals upstairs and one downstairs. There´s always someone at the counter who speaks English. A GREAT thing is that at each terminal you can plug in audio by jack or USB. They sell the headphones with microphones (for about 650pesetas I think - cheap!) and you can use one of the FREE internet calling plans like http://www.dialpad.com to call to the USA (only), PC-to-telephone. I have yet to try it, but will soon.

I knew that easyEverything prices depends on the number of people who are in the cafe at a given time. However, this evening I saw they were giving only 25 minutes per 200 pesetas.

My advice is:

Go there when there are few people (usually, late at night or early in the morning) and you will get more time of connection for the same 200 pesetas.

In my opinion, this "changing price" policy is becoming a rip off!!.

I was very happy when I knew easyEverything was going to open a internet cafe in Madrid.

At the begining they offered really good prices, but now I know it was only to attract customers.

Last Saturday I was walking towards Puerta del Sol and I saw they only offered 20 minutes / 200 pesetas. What a rip off!

Later on, I happened to pass besides easyEverything again. It was aboud midnight and they were offering only 35 minutes.

On Sunday morning they were offering 70 minutes (which it is a reasonable price) but only because there were few people at the shop.

According to their current offer, you can only get 3 hours of connection / 200 pesetas from 5:00 - 8:00 am!. At any other time, easyEverything has become so popular that it's always very crowded. And, the more people there are, the more they charge!!.

I recommend trying other places - such as the one at Carrera de San Jerónimo (299 pesetas / hour) - when easyEverything is full of people.

Not so Easy over the Holidays.

During my 6 night stay in Madrid, Easyeverything was only open for abou 3 days.
They had trouble and it wasnt' fixed for 3 days straight.
However, it is a good system (when the price is right) and I do recommend it to anyone who doesn't need a lot of time there.

I know Antonio posted something on the Telefonica's internet service somewhere but I can't find it...Anyway, I didn't bother with EasyEverything this past trip but instead headed over to the Telefonica on Gran Via, where they replaced the cabinas for computers, no line, plenty of room and only 300 pesetas an hour para navigar...and that was not the promotional price!!!! Not once did I have to wait. Very convienent!

Oh my gosh, I feel like a complete idiot! after I originally posted this message, I immediately found Antonio's post on this topic...Please excuse me,MM, it won't happen again.
