I stayed for 2 nights at the Hotel Ginebra located close to Placa Cataluna. It was in a great location, reasonably priced and seemed more like a hostal than hotel. Be aware that at night time you can hear any music concerts or events that are happening close to the area. Bring ear plugs so that you can block out any noise. The place was clean and small, the toilets noisy, but overall a good price for the location. I would recommend it.
