I understand you all will hate me for this. I'm prepared to live with that. But after seeing Calibasco and rgf exchange punfire on a certain other thread on this board, I can't help myself. I have fired the first shot in my subject line above, and I hereby challenge one and all to a (Spain-related, naturally) punning free-for-all...and may the gods have mercy on us!

Oh, rgf, is it just you and me here, then? You know, my all-time favorite Aphra pun came from my friend Karl-Erik in Stockholm--"aphracadabra". Which of course reminds me that when I take my last breath I will be transformed into an aphracadaver. But I said Spanish puns! So tell me, rgf--if there were Spanish Buddhists, would their favorite book be Zen And The Art Of Dali Lama?

Sorry I just joined in...I was making paella when I realized I'd run out of S-aphra-n (or is it az-a(f)rá-n?) ... At the risk of making you Madr, I'd say the puns are just the ticket to "led" on to bigger, more obnoxious things. Right up my D-alí. Can't a Brian get a break on this board? It seems that every time I-rún from puns, they catch up with me. By the way, don't borrow money in the outskirts of Cataluña's capital, you might get a Badalona.

CaliBasco--it's about time you got here! I was Sevilla-ly disappointed by your absence. I-rún from puns? Don't go--you have a good ir for them! As for your warning, Kurt, you clearly (mat)ador puns yourself and are in fact Prado your skill at being pun-itivo. A (S)pain, indeed--I wish I had a dolor for every time I'd heard a protest like that!

When mad cows dance, do they do the mu-cha-cha?
Or do they prefer Livin' La Mam-bo-vida?

You cocheron team? That's great! Do they playa lot of games, or is being the coche part-time thing? And jugar the players--any future stars, or donde have a shot at the NBA? I'm no athlete, but I did coche NY Yanqui in writing once--I was a freelancer, Dave Winfield was part of my client beis, and of course I had a bol!

Actually, the players are 7-8 year olds. Gotta get those games in before nap time. Actually it's a lot of fun. I have one who is destined for stardom. He made "2" baskets in one game! We actually scored 8 points in a game once. We won 8-2! He hadn't even scored a point in our previous six games.

I'd like to say "d" was the answer. It certainly isn't the coaching because getting them to understand traveling doesn't mean riding in a car to the basket is mind boggling to them.

I don't think I'll be coaching in the NBA soon.... LOL
