I'd better sound off: Originally from White Bear Lake, Minnesota...now in SoCal via Utah, Spain and Mexico.

I too hope to die in Spain, nestled somewhere high up in the Pyrenees...

I was born and have spent most of my life in the notoroius part of Los Angeles, known as the San Fernando Valley ( there is nothing saintly about it). I also spent a few years near Boston, Mass. breaking up the tedium.

Saludos from the adult film capital of the world

That's quite a claim to fame you have there in S.F. No wonder you could afford to go to Spain a few months ago. I hear there is a lot of $$ in that industry. haha

Yeah I guess that sometimes Hawaii is not that bad but it is not so fun to be living in one of the most isolated spots on earth especially when your favorite country is halfway around the world. Last year I left Honolulu on the 24th of January and arrived to Sevilla on the 26th! Now who wants to go that long without a shower?? Anyone want to trade places? You can be stuck here but en cambio you have to fly the 5 hours to LA, and then another 6-7 to New York and then the 8-10 to Madrid. Puna so that's why you moved to Boston, he, he, he. I suppose that everywhere has its pros and cons.
Also I don't know about the surf since school started today and I am already "hasta las narices de trabajo".

ILoveMadrid - Ah the trade-offs! We're snowing - you are warm, have rainbows and sunshine! - and I'm a mere 6+ hours from Spain! Forgive me for going off the subject, but I'm guessing you teach on Oahu, can I ask which school?
BTW- there's a strong and loyal Hawaiian Club in Boston ...

Nicole, you're so bad! A comment I would have made had you not beat me to it!

I was going to say that I thought he looked familiar but didn't want to imply any exposure to such things.

I'm from Los Angeles, but I'm in school in DC, where I'm experiencing cold like I've never known.

Hi Puna, I teach at the University of Hawaii, where if you ask the question, "¿qué tiempo hace?" you get one of the following:
1. hace calor
2. hace sol
3. está lloviendo
4. hace mucho calor
5. hace mucho sol
I wish that we could trade weather for at least a day, that may sound crazy but I would appreciate any temperature below 85...
