I have a reservation in Madrid during March. On a previous visit I stayed at the Francisco 1. Found this hotel to be absolutely adequate with a really good location. As I recall, it was quite inexpensive. This time I have a reservation at the Orense. Cant seem to understand where in the city the Orense is located. Based solely on location, which hotel is best?

You don't tell us where the hotels are located. If the Orense is the one I am thinking of, it is on calle Orense, not far from the Castellana, in Nuevos Ministerios (a business district). I know that the Orense is a good business type hotel. The neighborhood has a Corte Ingles store, some excellent restaurants, but is not of much 'tourist' interest. Guess it depends what you need/want to be doing in madrid...
