Hello All,
I will be staying in the NH Embajada (Santa Engracia 5) during April for 3 nights.
I was just wondering if the hotel is reasonably situated for the centre of Madrid.
Is the hotel a comfortable place to stay?I don't expect 5 star-surroundings but I would welcome any comments!

Reasonably situated? Well..... It's a pretty good walk down to, say, Gran Vía from there. It's located just above the Plaza de Alonso Martinez. How long is the walk to Plaza Mayor? I'd say about, what, 25 minutes? The hotel is not what I consider "the old center of Madrid", no, but not far outside it either.

Many thanks for your reply-very helpful.
In fact,I'm beginning to look for other reasonably priced hotels (3*) that are perhaps more centrally located.
If you have any suggestions they would be welcome.Wherever I do stay I will submit a review!
