Judge Baltazar Garzón has struck a blow to ETA, its subsidiaries and most importantly to HB (Herri Batasuna: Pueblo Unido) with his latest ruling. HB can be held financially responsible for damages caused by kale borroka or street violence tied to Segi and other youth organizations. Additionally, under this ruling, HB can also be held responisible for assassinations carried out by ETA. The Spanish-language article from El Pais is here:

An interesting ruling, but perhaps has a lot to do with Aznar wanting to outlaw HB as a political party. This is a lot like those in the US who instead of trying to jail white supremacists, just take them to court and sue them until they've nothing left. If you can't beat 'em, bankrupt 'em.
