I will be visting Madrid in 4 weeks and staying at Hostal Dominguez i would be grateful for any information on this Hostel or good bars etc in the area its situated(santa brigida).

I also plan to watch a couple of football games whilst there ,how far away is Real`s and Atheletico`s stadiums? Thanks Chris.

Surprisingly little has been posted about Hostal Dominguez in Madrid but there was ONE short review about it from last June in the " MadridHostels: a bunch of my opinions " thread.

I can vouch for Hostal Domínguez. It is excellent and the rooms were renovated shartly before I arrived there in summer 2000. Very close to the center and located on the 3rd floor. NO ELEVATOR and you will have to carry your stuff up the steps. One of the co-owners helped me to carry my things up.
