I had no success in finding any information on Hotel Carlos V in the archives so I had to post. Anyone have any feedback? Gracias

I booked my sister and fiancee there last June. They thought it was perfect for Madrid. The price and location were great, they had a balcony room looking out over the walking street but were not bothered by noice at all...which is often a problem with street side balcony rooms.The room was smallish but immaculate (how much will you be in it?!?)Service was cordial and professional This was the end of their trip and they had dropped their car off on the Grand Via and walked to it.(They travel lite).And I believe the hotel arranged their transportaion to the airport with a van that services the various Best Westerns in Madrid.If you want more of a Hotel than a Hostal this is a good choice. Oh and a nice continental breakfast is provided where they could plan their day and peruse their maps confortably.Also this is a historic property..not a US style BW!!

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm convinced that I made the right choice. Now if I could only learn how to use the archives. No need to waste people's time if I could find the info myself! Just 10 days and counting before I board the plane.
