I've stayed twice at this hotel. Last time was at the beginning of this year and although they were reforming it with modernisation work taking place, it didn't affect the running of the hotel or inconvenience the guests. I would have thought this was finished now anyway.
It is a 5 or 6 Euro taxi ride to the Cathedral, although it is a pleasant enough walk of half an hour, taking in the Maria Luisa park on the way. Reception area, bars etc are very nice and the staff very friendy. Rooms are excellent and I would stay there again certainly.
Oh, one other thing, if you like football (maybe the reason we stay there each year
) the stadium of Real Betis is a hundred metres away, so if they are playing at home during your stay, buy a ticket on the morning of the game and you will be in for a treat, as the atmosphere at that ground is great.
