Can anyone in Madrid check out this new Centro comercial and gives us some information? Is there a metro near? Is it mostly upscale shops or is there a Carrefour and other normal establishments? Is it a good place for teenagers to hang out? What is it like?

Hello

No metro near. Nearest cercanias station (and next year also metrosur station) is Alcorcon, from there you must walk about 15 min to get there, passing over the train and N-V. But many people goes walking from there or even farther, despite accesses are not very good.

There are bus stops in front of the center, with buses from madrid and alcorcon, both are lines to Villaviciosa de Odon

The center have two areas, amusement area is just cinemas and a bowling, plus some restaurants.

In the shopping area are dozen of clothing shops, some more of furniture and decoration and a Supercor (food supermarket of El Corte Ingles). There are also C&A, H&M, Cortefiel, all Inditex shops. No Carrefour or Alcampo as there is an Hipercor and an Alcampo already in Alcorcon.

It's good because of variety of shops. Not so good the amusement area.

If you go by bus or car try to avoid saturdays, accesess are as good or bad as they were before the commercial center opened(blame on Alcorcon council). In that case is better to go walking.

The shopping center is 15 kilometros southwest of Madrid. Takes about 15 mins. by car, traffic permitting to get there.

Imagine that Madrid is a hub of a wheel which is all of Spain. From that hub radiate 6 national highways which are the "spokes". Follow those spokes clockwise from the top:

The N-I is the Carretera de Burgos and runs due north.

The N-II is the Carretera de Barcelona and runs northeast.

The N-III also called the A-3 is the Carretera de Valencia and runs Southeast.

The N-IV is the Carretera de Andalucía and runs due south.

The N-V is the Carretera de Extremadura and runs southwest.

The N-VI also called the A-6 is the Carretera de A Coruña and runs northwest.

Ok, but the shopping center is indeed in Alcorcon, not San Jose de Valderas, correct?

Hello

I think is almost at the same distance from both stations, may be a bit closer from Alcorcon, and also may be easier to get there.
I'm afraid that acceses for pedestrians haven't been improved. Before the mall opened almost anybody walked to that streets, there were only some big supermarkets and car dealers.

Look at Paginas Amarillas (copy&paste all these lines into your address box of your browser)

http://callejero.paginasamarillas.es/mapa.asp?ciudad=alcorcon&x=-19026&y=12368&esc=8466&xsi=-23978&ysi=5965&xid=-14217&yid=16197&l1=28925+,+Alcorc%F3n&l2=Calle+Argentina+,1&Ops=Vac io

As you go out of the Alcorcon station by the first exit (not to the center of alcorcon) you'll be at Avenida de Villaviciosa. Turn right, you must go straight and go by the Calle Argentina over NV, you'll see clearly in front of you the mall Tres Aguas. As it's new it doesn't appear in that map, nor the new Avenida de america.
