Hi, i was told tea is very expensive in spain and would make a very good gift for a host family. I am surprised to hear this. IS this true? Any other suggestions for giving gifts to a host family?

I'm sorry to tell you that tea is not that expensive in Spain. Also, tea is not very popular here so it may not be a good gift for your host family.

If I were you I would bring something tipical from the place where you leave.

Regards and enjoy your staying in Spain

Hi studentgoing! For other ideas on things to take for your host family, please read the:

Souvenirs thread in the "Food, Drink, & Entertainment" forum.
gifts thread in the "Packing" forum.

Hope this helps!
