I spent three weeks studying Spanish at Tandem Escuela in Madrid during October, 2001 and was very pleased with the experience. I plan to return for three more weeks this coming November and am torn between returning to Tandem or trying International House which I've heard good things about. The costs are about the same. If anyone has any thoughts about the comparison between these two schools, I'd very much appreciate hearing them.

What I can tell you is that IH is pretty good regarding learning English. Although I had previously a god level, I studied with them one year to prepare Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English, and I easily got the degree. Small groups 4 to 8 people, native teachers, a comprehensive program and sticking to it, audiovisual facilities, libruary, ...

Quality (although expensive for spanish standards).
