Hi! I am going to Spain end of January with 55 people from my school, we'll be taking classes there and living in the city until May. I'm 19 and would like to also meet other people while I am there, where are good places?
Why? Can you tell us some more? I have a couple free days during the February trip and am looking for something to do outside of Madrid. I might take the train to Salamanca, but I am looking foe other suggestions as well.
Segovia, Avila and Toledo are all worth visiting, and can be done on a day trip from Madrid. My personal favourite was Segovia, but it´s a long time since I went there.

If you go to Salamanca, take the AutoRes express bus -- it is quicker than the train and really comfortable. You will find lots of nightlife in Salamanca.

I was in Spain last spring studying. If you and your friends are looking to go somewhere that is fun and not to expensive I would suggest starting off at casa de cerveza at the bilbao metro stop. Last spring for 8 euros on thursdays, not sure if it is other days as well or just thursdays, it is all you can drink beer and sangria. It is a great place to pre-party if you want to go to the clubs at 1 or 2 in the morning as drinks at the clubs generally run 5-10 euros a piece. another bonus of casa de cerveza is that they have a international student crowd and with 55 other students you would probably feel pretty comfortable there.
