Wow! 2100$ per leg! that's really expensive.
Spanish good ham must be expensive because it comes from pigs living free in the countriside. The herds eat acorns and other things like grain. They walk a lot and live happy, so that necessarily produces high quality meat.
Then the legs are cured at least for one year. They must be cured only by hanging them down. The warehouses are in cold and dry regions, like the mountains, the coast weather is not good for it because of air humidity. That's why in some places in the world they produced smoked ham instead of natural drying.
So is understandable that Spanish ham is expensive. But 2100 dollars! that's too much.
