Jamón Serrano is actually imported to the USA because the pigs are from Denmark but the "Serrano" process is made in Spain. But now, from FSIS decision , Spain
can export their "jewel of the crown" that is the "Jamón Ibérico". In my opinion, the quality of the iberico ham is miles away from any serrano. There is only one problem: it's very expensive. If the price of a full ham in Spain is 300$, In Usa it will be 600$. And 30$ for a few slices.
The first iberico ham is expected to arrive in Usa in 2007-2008. So patience.
