I want to have some kind of contact with hostal Aresol but at their website the contact part seems not to work. Does anyone know their e-mail and/or telefax number?

If you mean Aresol in Madrid the e-mail address is h-aresol@teleline.es and fax +34 915 21 45 25 (you find it in the hostel search). Have a nice trip! smile

Could somebody please tell this place to change its name. It's a little too close for comfort to a popular British-English word and cracks me up every time somebody mentions it. laugh

Hi radiohead! Please define "The contact part seems not to work." You mean emails to them are undeliverable or the contact page doesn't load or what? I didn't have any problem viewing the contact page just now.

And good question, tiajohanna, you are talking about the Hostal Aresol in MADRID, right? Please remember this is an ALL SPAIN message board. Good luck!

Ok, so out with it Anchovy, what does Aresol (or the similar word) mean in British? We Yanks (or at least this one) don't get it!

GG, Tia,

Reference is to aeresol spray cans like those used for hair spray, spray deodorants, and one of my favorites, skeeter & fly spray. Of course there's one other direction you could take it... rolleyes

Sorry about being off the topic here...

Sorry for me being a little unspecific. I really meant Aresol in Madrid. And MM, the contact page doesn`t work for me for some reason. But now I know their e-mail, so maybe I will get in contact with them.

By the way, I`ve been trying to get a double room (twin bed) with bath for August 17 to 20 in Madrid but haven`t been too lucky yet. Anyone has any idea`s? The room shouldn`t cost much more than 6000 ptas/night.

And tiajohanna, et kai satu olemaan suomalainen smile?

tia,

We could smell the lutefisk on your breath. laugh

Aresol sounds like a nice place to stay.

Wolf (Trying desperately to stay on the topic, and not doing very well at it this time... rolleyes ) By the way! I like lutefisk and lefse, as well as pickled herring. I guess my part German and Danish heritage shows through.

Ahem!!! (clearing throat)

I stayed at Hostal Aresol one night last October and found it one of the best of all I've tried in Madrid (maybe 5 or so) with it's great location, balcony, nice management, and clean rooms. I really can't say enough about it.

Saludos, MadridMan (whom ALWAYS TRIES to stay ON topic rolleyes )

Aresol might have been a nice place to stay, but no rooms available for us..

We are going to Madrid on August 17 and we are staying there at least 3 nights. Any of the hostals I`ve contacted haven`t had a room for us (double with twin bed, bath and A/C). Th price should not be a lot more than 6000 ptas. Anyone has any suggestions? I`ve been trying so far atleast: Aresol, Lopez, Aliste, Bruña..

tiajohanna, it was an easy one, your name sounds Finnish to me wink oletko muuten paljonkin vieraillut espanjassa ja madridissa, vai ihanko asut siellä?

Have you tried sitting down with the hotelsearch.com site to see what's out there? A lot of the hostals, as I recall, had sites and you can tell in a flash which have openings and which don't. Once I had some possible hits I did a search on MM to see what folks had said about the places that had space for me. This last trip I used TIJCAL, which I found to be quite pleasant.

Good luck!

Try Hostal Las Fuentes, the link is in MadridMan's list, it has all that you are looking for and is very very nice (and I am picky!). I really want someone else to stay there and see whether they agree!
