We are going to be in Seville for this year’s Semana Santa celebrations and have some queries regarding this :

1. We arrive on the eve of Maundy Thursday, and will be taking a taxi from the train station to our hotel – the Gran Barcelo Hotel Renacimiento on the Isla de Cartuja ? Will we run into any traffic problems due to processions and the like ?
2. We would like to see a couple of the larger processions like La Macarena and El Silencio ? Any good vantage point that we can head for ? I know it will be crowded everywhere but any decent viewing spot will be really appreciated.
3. We will have had an extremely tiring day traveling to Spain. Once we are standing in the crowds to view the floats, how easy is it to get away from there and take a taxi back to the hotel in case we feel tired and decide not to stay up till the early hours of the morning ?
4. We anticipate arriving into our hotel and being settled in by about 8pm. What time should we make our way to the vantage point ?
5. Where would be a good place to attend Easter Sunday Mass?

Thanks very much.
