Hi MM'ers, long time no post.

Just booked flights to Girona for early October.

Have no idea where to stay.

Is it worth staying in Girona itself?

If not, where would be best?

We're after an authentic Spanish feel, mucho Tapas bars and, if possible, with a beach.

The best place to stay in that area of Catalonia is the Auigla Brava Paradore. It over looks the Med and a beach is near by on the property. A little on the pricy side but well worth it.
