Hello everyone,

I will have 4 full days in Granada. My major goal was to see Alhambra, which we will have plenty fo time to do.

I was considering taking a day trip for one day to go to a beach in the area.

Any recommendations?

We will be there May 1,2,3,4.

Salobrena is my favorite and close to Granada. Try a search- I think there's a thread with more info.

It's a drive of about 1 hour 30 minutes to the coast. Salobreña, I agree, is well worth a visit, as is Nerja a little further west. The coast road between the two goes through a natural park with dramatic cliffs above the sea. There are many quiet beaches along this stretch, although without many facilities like restaurants and toilets. Getting down to them often involves going down a rough track off the main road.
