For Madrid, I will be using the Aero City shuttle . I know that this can be booked ahead of time but I would prefer doing this at the airport. Can I pay for the trip into town when I board the bus or do I need to buy the ticket before boarding?

For Barcelona, which is better -- the Aerobus or the train to Pl. Catalunya?

Rstomber, I had never ever heard about that "Aerocity" thing.... At Madrid airport the easiest, fastest and cheapest way to go downtown is taking the subway. It takes no longer than 15 minutes and a single ride is a little bit more than 1 Euro. In Barcelona take the train either to Plaza Catalunya or Barcelona Saints and in less than half an hour you'll be in the city.

We are arriving to Madrid this Saturday. We will have some luggage, so we would like to use a taxi/shuttle service to go to our hotel (down town). What is the best and cheapest way to get a taxi at the airport? What name of the taxi company? How mch should we expect to pay (2 people in the car)?
