im looking to study abroad in spain, im not sure of the exact location yet. but im wondering how much privacy i can expect from youth-hostels, and if they can accomodate someone who needs a place to paint, as well as someone who needs a place to sleep.

If you go during the summer months, you can study with one of the unviersities and get a dorm room, which affords privacy (don't know about space for painting). Salamanca, Santander, Madrid all come to mind...
