We are travelling to Spain for 2.5 weeks in May. Arriving in Madrid, with a side trip to Segovia, then Toledo before moving south to Cordoba, Sevilla, Cadiz, Ronda, Granada.

We would really like to stay the evenings and overnight in Segovia and Toledo but I am stumped on transportation. I had originally thought of renting a car from central Madrid, driving to Segovia (1 night), then to Toledo (1 night), and returning to drop off the car in Madrid.

This seems a bit awkward. Is having a car worthwhile? I know how to get to Segovia and Toledo on the bus... but can I (easily) get from Segovia to Toledo on the bus? Can I get from Toledo to Cordoba on the train or bus? Is it a long (or at all interesting?) drive if we were to keep the car and drive Toledo-Cordoba?

Thanks for your help!
