PIAF in what language? - 05/03/10 10:04 PM

Though she was French and the Olivier Award winning performance in London in 2008 MUST have been in English, in what language(s) will PIAF be in Madrid?

Just found out from reviewer Alba Alonso Casilda that the dialogue is in Spanish but, of course, the songs are in French.

Are we talking Edith Piaf?? She would be quite old (as am I). I remember her from Paris in the 1950's. No, I'm not 'Bogie;' and it's not like 'We'll always have Paris," but my first visit there was in 1952, and I have been back numerous times since. In the Movie, Casablanca Edith Piaf sings the Marsellaise (sp?) as the closing credits are run.

I can't imagine an 80-year old Piaf singing in any language other than French. Vous avez raison, Pedmar!
