Hi MATADOR! I hope you've been well since I saw you at the last "Party With MadridMan in Madrid" last April.

Does Spain even "do" internships? I haven't heard of it. Good luck to you!

Saludos, MadridMan

Hi Matador! I just got back from my semester in Granada, so of course im already trying to figure out a way to go back rolleyes . Like you, my first thought was an internship. Iv done some checking, and it does look possible!! Some are paid (these are normally work exchanges, so thats how you get the visa), and others are unpaid. Some require you study at the same time, others will waive that part if you can prove your spanish ability. Here are just a few of the links Iv found, let me know if you find something new!
- www.studyabroad.com/ (search under intern)
Good Luck!!!

Hi,

If you're looking for a good banking job, I'm afraid you won't find one through any of those agencies unless perhaps, you go through a specialised agency such as Randstad ( www.randstad.es )

If you just want an internship, I suppose that going through one of the agencies would not be a bad idea....but if you want something specialised and related to your career, your best (and perhaps only) bet is to go there and then look for an internship. It would be easier obviously, to get an unpaid internship and I'm sure many companies could use the extra help

Hi Matador!
Yes, we "do" internships in Spain but we call them "prácticas en empresa" wink Most are unpaid and even if the company pays you, don't expect much money...

I think you have been studying in Spain before. The best way to get an internship would be contacting your former university because they usually help students with the placements and the papers.

Have a look at the Madrid Corporate-University Foundation at http://www.fue.es/ that matches students and graduates with large employers.

An internship is práctica or beca in castellano.

Thank you everyone. It's been a mont since I left spain and I miss it so much. I just want a way to go back there. Madridman, a few days after seeing you in madrid my passport was stolen in a crowd during semana santa and since it is not an american passport i could not leave the country. It took two months for me to recieve my new one. I ended up staying in spain until the end of july. I lived on juan bravo(diego de leon stop. This was a great opportunity to see much of the city. I saw madrid as I have never seen it before. I have one problem . I can't decide which city I like the best after living in sevilla , barcelona, and madrid. They are all so different.I also like Ibiza even though it is a little bit commercial. Maybe I should live there.hmmmmmmmmm endless parties.
