There was a car bomb last night (10/12) in the Plaza Colon. I think the ETA took responsibility. No fatalities but several injuries.
At least one news station made it sound like they tried to have the bomb explode during the big parade, but instead it was at night.

It has been reported here that the police was informed about the bomb, but they could not find it because the car containing the bomb had been moved (into a car park) because it was illegally parked.

I was visiting Madrid at the parade Oct 12 and stood in Plaza Colon for 2 hours. It was disturbing to hear that less than 12 hours later a bomb went off injuring over a dozen people and ETA had claimed responsibility.
Has there been any new developments regarding this event? I'm back in the states now and haven't heard anything.
