NYC Spanish restaurants? - 07/04/07 11:29 AM

I just did a search on this board, and I found no posts on this topic since 2005. So, since I'll be in NYC next week, just thought I'd ask: any must-try Spanish restaurants in Manhattan? Has anyone been to Gitana's on Columbus Ave? Thanks in advance!

There were a few posts on restaurants in NYC just a few months ago. Click here to see them.

In today's New York Times (8 August) there is a complimentary review of a recently reopened restaurant called Suba . It's run by the same guys who own Boqueria , which was featured in Travel+Leisure's "Hot Tables" article in May 2007. Suba looks very fancy but tasty, although I am seriously questioning the "beer sangria." :yuck:

Apparently they have live flamenco performances on Sunday nights and Spanish films on Monday nights. Click here to read the review.
