Congratulations for the vitory yesterday.
I hope that your boys will be tired for Sunday so Atletico will beat them easier in his way to the Europe zone.
'Unfortunately', I'll loose the game because I'll be on Carnivals. wink

Thanks Miguelito! I had a sore head this morning after a few San Miguels in celebration! rolleyes

Malaga are now the first Andalucian team to reach the quarter final of the UEFA cup. (For anyone unclear about what is going on, Malaga's football club beat a team from Athens last night 1-0 laugh )

We now play Boavista of Oporto in Portugal next month... my road map is out and the hotel's booked!

I hope we're not too tired to beat Atletico on Sunday! I'm thinking of going on the supporter's bus, but it leaves Malaga at 2.30 in the morning and comes straight back after the evening match.... Mrs Anchovy thinks I'm mad eek - can't think why!!

Muchas gracias! I couldn't see much of the match here in the UK, just the goal and a few highlights. However I did watch my "other" team, Liverpool, who are also now in the quarter finals! It was a happy night in the Boqueron household. What chances a Malaga-Liverpool final ??? eek

Looks like the path to the final is already mapped out, Boqueron. If we beat Boavista in the quarter final it will be either Liverpool or Celtic in the semi final...... then Sevilla just happens to be hosting this year's final on May 21.

Look out anybody booked in for a "quiet" break in that city at that time....hopefully you'll be celebrating with the Frente Boqueron laugh

Fellows, Are the Celtas the team from Galicia?

Re: hey Anchovy, Boqueron - 03/01/03 05:55 AM

Yes and no, Booklady. smile Celta de Vigo are the Spanish primera liga team (who coincidentally played and drew with Malaga last Sunday) but the Celtic referred to here is Glasgow Celtic from Scotland. Wherever they're from, bring 'em on! We're going to win the cup!! laugh

Are Malaga players "Manu","Bravo" and "Josemi" considered hometown boys locally in Malaga area?

Re: hey Anchovy, Boqueron - 03/02/03 04:29 AM

Yes they are. Bravo was born in Malaga, Manu in Fuengirola and Josemi used to be a hairdresser in Torremolinos!! laugh

Hey Guys,

Do you know if the Real Madrid game against el Racing de Santander will be played on Saturday or on Sunday of next week. We will be there and need to buy tickets. Friends we talked to yesterday in Madrid said it hasn't been scheduled yet because of the other games. Any news?

Re: hey Anchovy, Boqueron - 03/07/03 01:03 PM

I think I may be too late Gloria, but in answer to your question the match is on Saturday night, kick off 7pm. Come on, Racing!! laugh

No Booklady, Malaga are in the quarter finals, playing a Portuguese team on the 13th March at home, with the return game in Portugal seven days later. Four matches away from the final.... smile
