America's Cup in Valencia

I have been hearing from relatives that the next America's Cup will be held in Valencia as well in 2009.
Anybody has heard differently? Please let me know.

I found this article on the valencian newspaper Levante.
33rd America\'s Cup
It says that the decission hasn't been taken yet. They have several candidates to hold the next edition. If they chose Valencia the 33rd America's Cup will be in 2009, if not it will be in 2010 or 2011.
They say that the Formula One urban circuit, wich will go accross the port, could affect the final decision
Dubay is one of the most suitable candidates.
Anyway in my opinion they are trying to get more money from Valencian authorities.

yes the old question is always money. I am hoping they do it in Valencia in 2009.
I hear the decision must be had before december 2007 so lets wait and hope.

again i read in AS Madrid that Valencia will get the 2009 America's Cup! anybody has more information?

Yes, it's confirmed Valencia will host it again. I'd have been amazed if they'd chosen anywhere else to be honest, given that Valencia is all set up for it and has the ideal weather conditions.
