Newbie to Madrid

Newbie to Madrid - 11/27/04 08:38 PM

I'll be visiting Madrid for the first time arriving December 24 and leaving on the 30th. With such a short time, I'm interested in taking a few tours offered by reputable tour operators such as Pullmantours which was recommended in Frommer's Spain 2004 travel guide.

How can I contact this or other tour companies? Should I just wait until I get there and perhaps find a tour desk in the hotel? Thanks for any help.

Regarding Pullmatur's website, it's http://www.pullmantur.com/

Good luck and enjoy your time in Spain!

The Pullmantur office is at the Plaza de Oriente. You can purchase tickets there for the tours of Madrid or the tours to Toledo, Avila & Segovia, Escorial & Valle de Los Caidos.

I will be leaving for Spain on December 30 and returning January 12.

I am sure you will have a great time in Madrid.

Another one is TrapSATur: I think their Office is on C./ San Bernardo, just off the Gran Via (North side).

I wouldn't take a 'Gastronomic' tour (i.e., one that includes dinner). You're better off having dinner 'on your own,' or with someone familiar with the territory. rolleyes
