Castellón de la Plana - 07/20/09 07:44 AM
Hey
I was just wondering if anyone has been to Castellón de la Plana? I'm starting as a teaching assistant there in September and was wondering if anyone had any tips/suggestions about this region? I've never been so I don't know what to expect!

Mongo commented on a similar question 5 years ago in the
Castellona de la Plana thread but that's all I could find by conducting a search.
For those who don't know,
Castellón de la Plana is the coastal capital city of the province of Castellón which is in the Comunidad Valenciana. I haven't yet visited here but it certainly looks nice.

That's pretty much were James Michener first encountered Spain in his book "Iberia". It's quite and interesting introduction.

Ahem-At the risk of repeating myself 5 years later, check out MadridMan's first link above.

Oops, Mongo,
Believe it or not, I really didn't read your post from this link before my last post. I've read Iberia about three times, and remembered Michener mentioning that town. I checked it again yesterday before posting. And he did land at Burriana just as your post 5 years ago stated.
