Does Barcelona shut down for Christmas?

Hello, I am hoping to visit Barcelona this Christmastime but am worried many restaurants and museums will be closed because Christmas falls on a Friday this year and Saturday is another holiday. Does anyone know if the town will be "dead" during this time frame? Thank you.
