Hi All,
Thanks MadridMan for the great site! Very informative! I will be leaving for Madrid on 23rd of March and staying until 6th of April. Below is where I want to go, but I'm not sure what forms of transportation to use between the cities (air, train, or bus). Please let me know what would be the most economical & cost effective. Thanks!

Madrid-Toledo
Toledo-Seville
Seville-Granada (or possibly adding Alicante)
Granada-Barcelona
Barcelona-Madrid

I'll give you my opinion taking into account the offers available now and the works in progress in the Madrid - Toledo train line.

Madrid - Toledo (BUS)
Toledo - Seville (BUS - going back to Madrid first)
Seville - Granada (BUS)
Granada - Barcelona (PLANE - if you can get the incredible offers available now)
Barcelona - Madrid (PLANE)

i FINALLY found my granada-BCN flight for only 32.56 euros. good luck!!

I was just in Madrid in January and agree with Antonio. Buses between Toledo and Madrid run about every half hour, so it is very easy to arrange. I would only add to be aware if you are taking a day trip as I did; the last bus out of Toledo back to Madrid was earlier than I expected (8 pm the day I was there, I think).
