Madrid to Tuscany area? - 10/21/03 03:23 PM

Thank you all for the wealth of info I have gotten from this site! It will be a daily habit. We are flying into Madrid next March to pick up and visit our college student. Plan to spend about 5 days in Madrid, then hubby wants to head to Tuscany. I have been checking many of the web sites you have given, and a flight from Madrid to Pisa, etc. is sooo high! Anyone have any ideas on how to get there without spending a fortune and taking forever? We are up for just about anything. The site europebyair is $99 from Barcelona to Naples. Any tips? Thanks all, now to email this great site to my college girl!

Applefares.com may be of some help.

Other possible option is flying up to Bologna. Nevertheless it won't be cheap. As long as you are looking for direct flights it will be expensive.

Other possibility would be flying to Milan and then to drive south. The Madrid-Milan route has some 6-7 flights every day in both senses which will make a lot easier to find cheap seats.
