Cheap flights to USA this summer??

Has anyone heard of any cheap flights to the US for July/August? Creative suggestions? Most prices are in the €900 - 5000 (if you can believe that) range. Prices out of London aren´t too bad, so that might be an option, and a hassle. I also checked www.travelprice.com to no avail.

Lufthansa was running a summer fare for around 500-600 euros. You can check the for the fare at corte ingles online or www.economytravel.com.

Madridmanjim, in the past 5 years all my trips between Spain and the US have been via London. The only real hassle is a bit of a wait in Heathrow airport, usually about an hour and a half, but for me, the savings and the great service on British Airways' transatlantic flights make it worthwhile. (By the way, British Airways is currently advertising great fares here for summer travel to Europe. You may want to check them out.)

Thanks for the suggestions. If I could fly before June 30, there are €290 RT flights! Prices for July seem to be in the €1000+ range, RT. On the Corte Ingles site, I saw mention of €599 RT to NYC in August. I may have to wait until then... I´ll check Lufthansa. Regarding London, I have gone that route before, but I agree that it is a hassle.

That www.economytravel.com site seemed to be pretty good. Price for August was below $550. Thanks for the suggestion. It looks like I will postpone my visit until then.

FYI, I ended up with US Airways for 750 Euros, through a travel agent. The lower prices were not available.
