The website for the Spanish train system at www.renfe.es is an invaluable resource for planning your trip. You can type in points of origin and destination and it will pull up entire schedules--including AVE service--and prices. It's great!

Oops!! I haven't traveled by train in Spain since my college days. I had checked the "search" feature under AVE but didn't think of Renfe! We'll be traveling mostly by car, as usual, but I thought that the AVE to Cordoba or Sevilla might be a possibility after the long trip from SFO to Barajas. Thanks for your help!!

Great. I checked at Renfe and saw the AVE schedules. Also, the cercanías and regionales, etc.
Is Carmona NOT on a train route (to/from Cordoba or to/from Sevilla)? Or am I missing something?
