Has anyone driven from Barcelona along the coast up to Girona and Figures? Is it beautiful??? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Girona and Figueras are not on the coast, however you can detour in to see them. Near Barcelona the coast is crowded, but it turns very very nice further north. Of interest especially is Empuries, a Roman city, and Cadaques, a very nice town near the French border.
