Simple question: Can one use credit cards to pay for gasoline thoughout Spain? If yes, which card are most often accepted? Thanks

And don't forget the debit bank cards which have the VISA symbol on them! I use mine all the time.

Antonio was kind enough to provide in August a national web page that list the average gas/petrol prices per liter throughought Spain. www.meh.es/carburantes

Unfortunately, it seems that this site is STILL under construction . Anyway, this will eventually be the best source of information for gas prices.

Current prices in Madrid are about 140 pesetas / litre of unleaded gas.
