Madrid drop off for driver

We have rented an apartment near METRO Gran Via (calle jardines 16º) in late May. We have two couples traveling together, driving in from the north. One couple will drop the other and proceed on to all parts ...well, out there someplace. So where is a convenient spot to drop the couple to easily proceed to our apartment? Should they take Taxi, metro, etc.?
I'm looking for an easy drop-off for the driver and equally easy situation for the couple continuing in to the Madrid interior.

Your staying near Gran Vía .. but where will the other couple stay . Being in Gran Vía means YOU are in the interior .. absolute city central ... ? Anyway in Gran Vía you´ll have access to Metro , buses , taxis .. everything . Bear in mind that some metro stations in Madrid have lots of stairs and , for example , "Noviciado" , no escalator .. so , if you have heavy luggage , that would be hard work .

if arriving by car from the north of Spain? like the A1 ? its better to coming link up with the M30 and drop it off at Ventas bullring Monumental. This way your friend can get back on the M30 and get out of the city. The other couple can take the metro from Ventas line 5 to GRan via metro stop and on to your apt very nearby

i must add, finally someone daring enough to drive in madrid, love it. Done that route many times and lived near Ventas. Lol!
