Hello Anne-Chloe,

You could start by checking the classifieds section of InMadrid a free magazine in English, and Segundamano, which is probably the magazine with the more offers, if you speak Spanish and are serious about doing extensive house-hunting. Their on-line versions are: www.in-madrid.com , and www.segundamano.es

My advice always is to avoid dealing with 'agencias' or agencies if you want to save money; however if your company is paying and you don't have the time for all the required "leg-work"(you can say that, right?), I guess it can be a good option to simplify things.

Good luck, and welcome to Madrid. smile

Anne-Chloe,

Welcome to the board.

If I may direct you to the Multimadrid Message board, there are many experts there who can assist you with finding a place to live. There is also a huge listing of classifieds for finding permanent accomodations. Try looking in "Work and Residency in Spain" and "Sleeping siestas between fiestas" folders.

Click here for the Mulitmadrid message board

Best of luck to you.

Hello all ,
I have found within two days ,the flat of my dreams in Madrid Arturo Soria with a lot of luck and thanks to Segundamano.
Expensive but I managed to negotiate the rent down.
I move to Madrid end of February and I am all excited ,except that I don't speak spanish yet.
Saludos
