Madrid: Hotel Europa? - 12/03/07 09:33 PM

Has anyone stayed at the Hotel Europa on Puerto del Sol lately? I stayed there a couple of years ago and it was under renovation, but quite nice. The location was great and the waiter at the cafe (Juan Jose) spoke great english and was very helpful. Im wondering if he still works there too? wave

Seems Hotel Europa in Madrid has dropped off the radar lately. Haven't seen/read a single review about them.

I see they've raised their prices a bit since their 2006 renovation. 80€ for a double room now. From the photos on their new website it doesn't look like the kitsch styling they once had.

If you go back and stay there please do give us your review here in this/your thread. Thanks!

My mother and sister stayed there in 2003 when they came to visit me. They enjoyed and not to mention it has a PERFECT location!! I would stay there again when I go back!

Hotel Europa is recommended in Rick Steves's Spain guidebook. You can find feedback on his website.
