HELP place to stay in Seville and Girona - 02/09/07 02:57 PM

I need help. I'm going to Barcelona, Seville and Girona in July. I'm a women traveling alone to Seville and need suggestions on a safe and moderately priced place to stay for 3 nights in the Santa Cruz area. I thought maybe a hotal or pension. When traveling to Girona I'll be with 4 teens and need someplace that we can all stay. I am on a budget so price is an issue.

Thanks

Dear Ms. Liliana, I went to Sevilla two summers ago and used the apartment indicated below. It was more than I expected. My wife and and teenage daughter was very impressed with the location, Santa Cruz area, could see La Giralda from the rooftop terrace. The owner, Susana, was so helpful. I do recommend it. It was also very clean and quiet.

Hi Liliana,

Great choice Girona, a wonderful place. A very nice ancient city. It's 40 minutes by car from Barcelona city, half an hour from the Pirinees and 30 minutes from the beautiful beaches of the Costa Brava.

To Stay in Girona with four kids my advice is a casa rural (rural house).

Casas rurales are ancient farms, country houses or even medieval manor houses completely refurbishided and nicely decorated. They have all modern comforts. They usually have gardens and terraces and some of them have swimming pools.

You can rent the whole house or only the rooms you need.

Here you have one useful link. You can search your house on the map included in the web page.

I just stayed in Seville at Hotel Maestranza (c/Gamazo) located between the bullring and the cathedral. very central and 87 euros per night for a double (may 1 to may 5). large clean room, and 2 great restaurants on the same street.

Antonio Romero and Enrique Becerra .

In Girona try http://www.hotelhistoric.com/
They have an self catering apartment in the flat part of the old town which would probably suit.
