What's going on in Barcelona 08/31 - 09/05? - 04/23/06 03:01 AM
Hello All,
I am currently planning a 2 week vacation in Spain and would like to book a hotel in Barcelona from Thursday August 31 to September 4th to start off our vacation. When searching for accommodation I have noticed that most hotels are fully booked for that time of the year. What’s going on that weekend? Are there any scheduled events or festivals for that weekend? I have tried to search online to see what was going on but to no avail. I have no problem finding availability for the 31st however the following days are booked and anything available is @ 3 to 4 times the average nightly rate! If I knew what was going on maybe it would incite me to pay the higher rate, but if not I will change my itinerary and visit Barcelona at the end of our trip. Does anyone know what’s happening that weekend? Thanks for the help
