loquo rental experiences? - 08/22/05 07:44 PM

Hi, has anyone actually rented a weekly apartment through loquo.com? How was the experience for you? Any tips for how not to get ripped off, &c? The deals seem much better there than anything else I've found for Barcelona.

Thanks!

Hi berkeley
I tried to reserve accommodation in Madrid for October. I sent sent off the email on Saturday and got a reply this morning (Tuesday) from the owner confirming that the room in the apartment was available and asking if I would like to confirm my reservation.
The advert for the accommodation had pictures and the price per night or per week was given up front.
I also used LoQuo last Easter to arrange English-Spanish language interchange and this worked well.
I hope this sets you mind at ease.

Thanks for the info Robbieroy! Does your apt. rental require a deposit up-front to hold the reservation?

No up-front deposit was required. I recently had some communication with the owner and he is happy to receive a cash payment when I arrive.
