In looking for accommodations in Spain I have seen prices set out for "half board, full board or breakfast included." As a new-comer, I don't know the differene. Please explain. Thank you.

Half board (media pensión) means breakfast and one main meal included (lunch or dinner).

Full board (pensión completa) you get both meals and breakfast.

Breakfast included (only breakfast).

In Spain, it's pretty common also to get the room without breakfast, since it's cheap in cafeterias and these are everywhere.

Thank you. I have seen it mostly in isolated rural areas.

It´s OK.

I forgot to mention that sometimes in "half board" the bigger meal, you are supossed to have has to be a certain one: It as to be lunch or it has to be dinner (I am not pretty sure for I don't usually pick HB), but if you bought it and were interested in having the supper, for example, instead of lunch or "vice versa", I believe sometimes you can change them upon reaching the hotel. But don't count it for sure.
