Hello-

These are on my itinerary for a month long September visit. Madrid and Barcelona acommodations are all over this site, but I have
seen little for these smaller cities. Can anyone

Once you get past the peak time of August it becomes easier to find accommodation. There are plenty of hostals in Leon to cater for pilgrims walking the Camino de Santiago in summer. I've not been to Zamora but stayed once at a place called Hostal Bristol (I'm afraid I don't have their address or telephone number to hand) in Benavente (halfway between Zamora and Leon). Handily placed for visiting Portugal as well as Leon I can recommend Benavente. Some great free tapas in the bars.
Have fun, wherever you go!

We have found a lot of hotels on this site
http://www.hotelsearch.com/
Sometimes you will have to send a fax to contact them but most of the time, they will answer you by E-Mail.
The Spain tourist office has a beautiful guide of hotels in spain. You can download it at this address http://www.okspain.org/accommodations/separatas.asp
Have a nice trip !
