Hostals for Families with Children?

Hostals for Families with Children? - 06/13/14 12:24 PM

After proposing to my wife 14 years ago in Toledo we are heading back to Spain in the Spring. We now have a 4 year old and 9 year old. Are there hostals in Madrid that would be appropriate for families or are we better off trying to find a cheap hotel? I feel as lost as I was 14 years ago when I traveled to Spain. Thanks for any help.

Our family of 4 stayed in the apartment of the Hostal Jaen in the Huertas neighborhood of Madrid. The Hostal has regular rooms, but the apartment had 3 bedrooms. Here's a link.

We loved the location of the apartment and the proximity to major attractions as well as great bars and restaurants.
