madrid pensiones or hostales - family of five

know of any information on the following hostels from the Let's Go travel book series? - hostal-residencia luz, esparteros, cruz-sol, sud-americana, armesto, carreras. We are a family of five looking for clean rooms w/bath in centrally located areas, but not chain hotels. Something with a true Spanish experience. THANKS!

It seems to me a few postings have been made about Hostal Cruz Sol in this forum, one lengthy one that I can remember specifically. If memory serves correctly, the original poster called me ignorant.

Do a search using in this category using MADRID and the hostel´s name and you may find some feedback about them already posted. Anyone have any fresh information about the aforementioned?
